Overview

MamaKind ("we," "our," or "us") operates an informational website at mamakindapp.com. We are committed to being transparent about what data this site does and does not collect. This policy explains our practices in plain language.

What We Do Not Collect

MamaKind's website does not:

The one exception is our optional email updates form, described below — that is the only place we ask for personal information, and only if you choose to submit it.

Email Updates (Optional)

Our homepage includes an optional sign-up form where you can give us your email address to receive occasional product-safety updates. Providing your email is entirely voluntary — none of the site's features require it.

When you submit the form, your email is sent to our server so we can add you to a future mailing list. We use it only to send MamaKind updates about trying to conceive, pregnancy, and breastfeeding product guidance. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their marketing, and every message will include an unsubscribe link. To unsubscribe or have your address removed at any time, email support@mamakindapp.com.

Google Analytics (Optional)

If you choose to accept analytics when prompted, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are viewed most, which products are clicked, and what search terms return no results. This helps us improve our content and product selection.

Google Analytics collects anonymized data such as page URLs, referrer, device type, and approximate location (country). We do not collect names, emails, or other personally identifiable information. Google may set cookies when you accept. You can decline analytics when prompted; we will not load Google Analytics if you do. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Product search runs in your browser. Search terms are only sent to Google Analytics when you have accepted analytics and when a search returns no results (to help us identify product gaps).

What We Do Use

Google Fonts

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address and browser information as part of their standard server operations. We do not control this. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Unsplash (Hero Image)

The homepage background image is loaded from Unsplash's CDN (images.unsplash.com). Unsplash may log standard request data including your IP address. See Unsplash's Privacy Policy for details.

Amazon (Affiliate Links)

Our Products pagecontains affiliate links to Amazon.ca. When you click a "View on Amazon" link, you are directed to Amazon's website, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply. Amazon may set cookies to track purchases for affiliate commission purposes. We do not receive any personal information about you from Amazon. See Amazon's Privacy Notice for details.

Email Contact

If you contact us at support@mamakindapp.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and do not share it with third parties or add you to any mailing list.

Canadian Privacy Law (PIPEDA & CASL)

MamaKind is based in Ontario, Canada and is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, in respect of email updates, to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). The only personal information we collect through this website is the email address you voluntarily provide through the sign-up form. We collect it with your consent, use it only to send you the updates described above, and will honour unsubscribe requests promptly. If our practices change as we grow, this policy will be updated accordingly.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The age of 13 reflects the widely adopted threshold for children's online privacy, including under the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement.

Changing Your Cookie Preferences

You can change your analytics preference at any time. Use the Cookie preferences link in our footer to reopen the consent banner and choose Accept or No thanks.

Changes to This Policy

As MamaKind grows and adds new features (such as user accounts or analytics), this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
